It seems like there are fundraising efforts being done for everything under the sun. But what about people with Cerebral Palsy? Do you know of any fundraising efforts being done nationally or maybe locally in your area?

We’re located near Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City, Philippines. Hope you can help me find a suitable school for my child with mild cerebral palsy that is recommended by most doctors specializing in this case. Thanks.

How do you teach motor skills to a toddler with mild cerebral palsy?

Heather asked:

I’m working with a 2 year old child for one of my classes that has mild cerebral palsy due to past abuse by his father. He can walk but his right side is stiff and he favors his left side. I need some ideas on what to do with him. A theme would be great. Thanks!
I will have a developmental interventionist with me. I just have to have a couple of lesson plans together when my professor observes me.

Help on teaching a lesson on cerebral palsy to kindergartners?

Monday, February 23rd, 2009
Carl M asked:

I’ve been asked to come into a class of kindergartners and teach them about cerebral palsy because the teacher has a student with this condition. I myself was born with cerebral palsy so I have a lot of experience with the subject but I would really like to read the students a book and have them do an activity that mirrors the mild case of CP the student and I have. We both have problems with mobility, any suggestions?
